Young Barlacra is a show about a young boy named Derek Frui who lives with his father and sister, they are trying to fit in like regular penguins but they are actually werepuffles. The show first aired in April 2006-2008. They re-aired in 2010.
Characters
- Derek Frui — An 18 year old penguin who wants peace between werepuffles and penguins but the werepuff slayers try slaying them. He and his father try to unlock a book that contains the way for Derek to be king of all Antartica.
- Vanessa Frui' — A 20 year old penguin which, she is also a werepuffle who eats penguins and turns them into half-werepuffs. She has a army of werepenguins and agrees with her mother and dislikes everyone treating her not special unlike Derek as she is a "Girl".
- Count Ben Frui — The 500 year old werepuffle who is the father of Vanessa and Derek Frui. He too eats penguins until Derek persuaded him to lick lemons instead. He doesnt love their mother.
- Veronica Cherrymui — Derek and Vanessa's mother. Count doesnt love her and she only appears when she wants something or gets revenge for last time/past time. She had another child called Puffi which is a werepiffle (not puffle, but piffle) and is a werepiffle because his father is a werepiffle.
- Walter Vyu — Count's servant and seond hand butler. He is seen mostly in the kitchen as mentioned by Vanessa in "Someone's in the Kitchen with Walter" and mostly seen cooking.

Trivia
- They plan at doing a movie after Season 5 that will take place in summer/fall 2012. The movie will be the season finale for all five seasons.
