The University of South Pole City was built in 2005 by the South Pole Council, since they wanted to increase education in South Pole City. It is the currently one of the best universities in the USA, also constructed in less than a year. It currently has 10,000 students and 2,000 faculty members.
Background
In 2005, to increase education standards in the USA, the South Pole Council voted 20/30 into building a university. Mr. Sancho978 was the Architect of the Project and he later became the Dean of the University on September 4, 2005. There were at first 100 students, then it grew to 10,000 in less than two weeks. The University has had the highest graduation rates in Medicine, Political Sciences, Gastronomy and Astronomy in the past year.

There are sixty buildings on the two campuses. Each of them, the Parkway Campus and the main Campus, have thirty buildings. A few include the Main Office, the East Block, the West Block, the Center Block, the Dormitory, the Cafeteria, the Library, the Cafe and the Technology Lab. The other Campus has thirty buildings as well. A few include the Political Science Building, the John Fink Memorial Hospital, the Medicine Building, the Astronomic Sciences Building, the Observatory, the Culinary Center, the Centre Block (II) and the Gymnasium.
