"Tee Demo" is the first promotional single and officially released material by Rockhopper. The song was released to promote Rockhopper's new music career, and to create buzz for Rockhopper's debut album Rockhopper's Ballads (2011), which was released in October 2011. "Tee Demo" was made available for digital download on August 10, 2009. Rockhopper wrote the song by himself while his puffle Yarr produced it. Considering the fact that Rockhopper lacks electronics over at Rockhopper Island, most of the sounds in the song were naturally recorded by the puffles on the island by creating unusual sounds and then mixing them over at Club Penguin.
The cover of the song was designed by Yarr too. They both decided that they would use this sort of design in all of Rockhopper's next singles to create a chain/pattern in the covers. On the cover, an extract of Rockhopper's journal can be seen. Club Penguin Music Records released the promotional single and were satisfied with the sales of the single. Because "Tee Demo" is classified as a promotional single, it is not included in the list of singles released from Rockhopper's Ballads.
