Overview

Stanley J. Camden Air Force Base, which is also abbreviated as Stanley Jackson Camden Air Force Base is home to the 408th Air Force Wing, the National Pilots Center and the Wheaton Research Center, operated by PASA. The airbase is operated by the 408th and 412th Air Force wings in a joint-venture. The airbase is also an active site for military aircraft testing, due to it's longer runways.

The base is adjacent a large plain, which provides somewhat of an extension to the bases' runways. The base also utilizes solar power and a wind turbine for their electrical purposes as well.

The base was originally named Murdoch Station Air Base, when the base first opened in 1993, and had a small community, known as the hamlet of Murdoch, namesake of the station itself. The airbase was originally intended for as a military cargo stopover, and was to protect Nirthwestern Eastshield in the event of an attack.

That has been proved untrue, as the airbase was bought by PASA, after the USAF cut all funds to the operating administration of the airport, due to money laundering rumours surrounding the Board of Administrators who governed the airbase and it's satellite settlement of Murdoch.

After PASA's takeover of the airbase, it's current facilities and maintenance centers.

Facilities

Main base

The Main Base is comprised of two sectors, the PASA Sector and the Military Sector. The PASA Sector, which is also knwon as the North End, has eight buildings, most notably the Wheaton Research Center, which tests numerous PASA aircraft each year, including each of the PASA Shuttle fleet aircraft. The Main Airfield contains an Air Traffic Control tower, a TRACON system, called Vernon, in air traffic control, as well as Radar Control Facility, known as Checker. The airbase does not have an AATA or ACAO code, as civilian access is barred. But, instead, the military code of SJC is used for any civilian flights.

Runways

The airbase has three runways, neither of which cross one another. Each of the runways are paved and lighted as well.
