I need some help with this! Science people (TS and Explorer), I look to you.--Sir Kwiksilver of TARDIS-Ninjas can't catch you if you're on fire. Sprocket 02:04, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'll help. --Austin8310 12:17, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kwiksilver, here is my theory of Time Travel.

The 4th dimension, Time, could be an unusable dimension, meaning it cannot be travelled but it is balancing the 5th dimension on it. A time travelling machine wouldn't work. Here's why. Moving into the future would be moving forward into a new dimension, if it were, but since there is no way the mollecules could travel like that, it wouldn't materialize. Although, since it has been made in the technical past, it'll be there. In the future, whatever happens, it means it will happen to you again. You cannot travel backwards because going backwards is impossible, but I will explain that soon. In fact, here. Going into the past is impossible because you have never made the time machine so it cannot be used, the time dimension cannot hold that type of abuse to its system and you wouldn't be able to go back. And, this means, anything that happens in the past, you will instantly remember again as it happens because it's the past.

In conclusion, I know quite a lot about time travel, and how it may not be possible. --Metalmanager 11:02, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

tl;dr

I'm not an expert on science, social science/humanities is more my field. However I know that time travel has something to do with Physics, that wormholes and Einstein have something to do with it, that faster then light speed is a method and something called special spacetimes geometries.

To be honest, I only know about Doctor Who time travel; you travel through the time vortex (to Americans this is travelling through blue/red swirly stuff) and end up where you want to be (or sometimes, not).--Agent Johnson |  You... 12:26, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Note: Don't try to put in something about changing the past. You cannot change the past, even if time travel were possible. --THE SHEEP! |FIGHTTHEPOWER! (Stuff I did and stuff) 16:43, 4 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

For fictional purposes, we're allowing that. =P

Besides, ever heard of parallel universes? Yours Nonsensically, Explorer 767 (Looks like all the ios are oribabky afj...) View this template 00:10, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Time can be rewritten. Any Doctor Who fan could tell you that.--Sir Kwiksilver of TARDIS-Ninjas can't catch you if you're on fire. POH-KAY-MAAHNN!! 06:57, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

It cannae. It's just common sense. If you went back and changed something, nothing would have changed, because in the present it would already have happened.

Ok, that was a little confusing. Let me give an example:

Let's say I decided to go back in time and prevent WWII from happening (no smart comments about that please, it's just an example). I would know, even before I left that I was going to fail in my atttempts. Why? Because if I wasgoing to succeed, the WWII would not have happened, and would not be in the history books. --THE SHEEP! |FIGHTTHEPOWER! (Stuff I did and stuff) 12:29, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
