Delaine Kendall, better known as Delaine is a yellow puffle singer-songwriter from Club Penguin. She started her career in 2000 after featuring in a Nyninyne single, while posting demos of her songs on her website before. Her first aspects were to become a rock star but changed her route to a more pop career. She released her debut album, Going Home, back in 2003. It became the best-selling album of 2003 and also spawned five successful singles. From 2004 to 2010, Delaine took a musical hiatus from her solo career. So that she didn't take a complete musical career, Delaine wrote songs for other artists and at the same time worked on songs privately for her next album, which is to be released in late 2011. Delaine has been famous for her appearance too; she was known for her rock-star look until she changed her style in early 2011 to wearing a baggy hat and sporting short blond hair.

Background

She was born in 1992, and her first words were "We will rock you." At age five, she immediately had interest in becoming a rock star.

Musical career

1999-2001: Early years

At age 7 (in 1999) Delaine was thinking of entering a singing contest but decided not to as she thought that it was just too easy to do and wanted to work hard for her career. Her interests in rock started drifting away as she got interested in pop and R&B. Delaine found out that, according to statistics, a puffle who is 7 years old is equivalent to almost 18 penguin years, so Delaine considered herself mature enough to start a career. Delaine set up her own small website where she put up some song demos. Her friends shared the website amongst others, and soon an A&R talent scout found out about the website and about Delaine. He listened to her songs, and then contacted her and invited her to a meeting. The talent scout was a member of "Music Industry Records" and then signed her in late 1999. Delaine's first official piece of work was a guest appearance on Nyninyne's song "Frank" in late 2000. Many were impressed by new singer Delaine, and soon many started to know who Delaine was.

2002-03: Going Home

Delaine then started working on her debut album, who named it Going Home. Delaine demanded for no assistance on song-writing, meaning that Delaine wrote all the songs herself. The label got 6 producers to work on the album with Delaine. Five singles were released from the album from 2002 to 2003. "Going Home" was released on December 15, 2003 and gained the album Christmas number 1 of 2003.

2004-10: Musical hiatus

2011-15: Late Arrival era

2015-present: Out in the Real World

She won the 2016 Antarctic Song Contest for the USA for her song "Love Won't Fade". She would later make that song a single, and put it on her album, Out in the Real World.
